DOUBLE HUNG
The most common type of window in the northeast
opens up and down, tilts in for easy cleaning.
PICTURE
Fixed, does not open; usually a large window between two smaller ones.
CASEMENT
Typically found in pairs, the casement windows seals tight against weather.
SLIDER
Most commonly found in an enclosed porch. An economical way to have a large operable window.
AWNING
Good for keeping out the rain. Usually found in bathrooms or in combination with other windows.
BAY
Large combination of windows that protrude from the home creating a seat.
These windows can enlarge a room and ad character.
BOW
Large combination of casement windows that form the shape of a bow. Does not extrude as far as a bay.
